A young reader who is fascinated by the past and new things would enjoy this book though they might have trouble with some of the vocabulary. Also it could be a good guide for teaching a student how to research and understand how to use an index since the back cover contains a simple one. Overall this is a useful non-fiction book with attention grabbing pictures and good information.
