Although this is the final story in this series, you can continue reading about Kit Shannon in a series James Scott Bell does on his own called "The Trials of Kit Shannon". I look forward to reading those stories next.

Kit to represent him. She soon discovers that there is much more to this murder than meets the eye. But as Kit searches for the truth, she is also dealing with her personal life; her great-aunt who is seeking truth from spiritualism, and her growing affection for Ted Fox, who seems to want nothing to do with her now that he is back in town. When you can't trust the newspaper, the judicial system, or the person you are defending, where can one go? Kit will have to rely upon her steadfast faith in the scriptures to see her through.

I appreciate the courtroom drama in this series. It kept my interest and it was hard to put down, waiting to see what new clues will be uncovered. Also appreciate learning a little of history during this time in our nation.
