I read all of the Percy Jackson books some time ago. Then lat year I picked up the graphic novel of The Lightning Thief and really enjoyed it. I was excited to see that the 2nd Percy Jackson book had also been converted to graphic novel. The authors have done an excellent job of converting the

novel to graphic novel format. The illustration is wonderful and I really enjoyed reading this.

Things are going relatively well for Percy at school (for once). Then Annabeth brings news that the tree that guards Camp Half Blood has been poisoned. Percy and friends must journey across the Sea of Monsters to find the cure.

This is the book where Tyson joins the story and I have always enjoyed his character. Those who have read the full length novel version of this story already know what’s going on here….so I am not going to discuss that a ton.

Needless to say this adventure involves many of our favorite Percy Jackson characters including Percy, Annabeth, Grover, and Clarisse.

The illustration throughout this graphic novel is in beautiful full color, illustrated with great detail, and just beautiful. The adaptation of the story is well done and hits all the high points of the story very nicely. It was fun to revisit this series in graphic novel format and I really enjoyed reading this.

Overall an absolutely excellent graphic novel adaptation of The Sea of Monsters. I really enjoyed both the story and the beautiful illustration. Highly recommend to those who love fantasy graphic novels. Of course I would recommend reading the full length novel first (since all of those books are pretty darn good) and then reading this as a way to revisit the story.

The graphic novel to this popular teen book was enjoyable. Sometimes it's hard to envision some of the Gods and Monsters that Percy and his friends fight, so having the artist rendition is nice!

Greek mythology, action, and adventure are all intertwined in this engaging graphic novel.

This book was better than the first one, the artwork was slightly better (though I'm still not satisfied by it, Percy and Annabeth are prettier than that) and the actual story was more accurate. Some things were left out, but they can be overlooked because they're not that

major.
But, it's Percy Jackson so I can't possibly not love it!

You know these graphic novels really just don’t hit the same way the books do. So much of the plot was removed to shorten the story, and it really kills the character building.

The art is a trip, it’s crazy how some scenes they looked like kids and other scenes they looked like grown adults.

It’s not terrible but it’s not amazing either.

An enjoyable continuation of the Percy Jackson story; art is good.

This was such a fun book. I really enjoyed it. I think it is funny how clueless Percy is. There are things that are obvious to everyone around him, but he is just oblivious to it all.
