Not my favorite book because of it's predictability. This was about a man who said his house was too loud because of the all the different noises from the people inside the house. A wise man told him to add an animal again and again which made it even more noisy. And in the end he took all the
Show More
animals back out and it wasn't as noisy.
I wouldn't recommend this book for a classroom.

Has anyone ever heard the saying, "you don't know how good you have it until you lose it?" Well, this statement applies to the farmer in the story, "It's Too Noisy," because he feels that his family members are too noisy in his home. He talks to a wise old man that tells him to bring animals into
Show More
his house. The farmer complies and realizes that his house becomes even louder! Throughout the story, he realizes that his family and all of their noises that they bring with them are nothing compared to the "real" noise the farm animals bring. He eventually takes all of the animals out of his home and feels that his home is quite with his family's burping, yelling, crying, sneezing, and snoring. He grows to accept this in the end because he figures out that his situation could always be worse. Help send your child this meaningful message of appreciating what you have because it could always be worse by reading to them "It's Too Noisy."

This old wives tale is about a man who thinks his family is too noisy. He goes to a wise man to find out what to do, but in the end learns that it is okay for his family to be noisy. It is a book about happiness.

This book is about a poor farmer that stays in a little house with many of his family members. The farmer is getting upset because his house is way too noisy. One day the farmer went to the wise man to see what he suggest about the noise. The wise man told him to bring all his animals in the house.

The farmer realized it was worser than before. So, he went back to the wise man and he told him to put all the animals out the house. The farmer listened to the wise man, but the house was still noisy without the animals. The farmer didn't complain about the noise that his family was making because it was better than hearing the animals make noise.

This was a really entertaining book about a farmer who thinks his family is too noisy. After consulting with an elder, he moves all of his animals into his home upon the elder's advice. He comes to realize that although his family is noisy, the noises they make are not like the unwelcome noises of
Show More
the animals; they are the noises of a happy life.

The only drawback to this book to me was that I found the illustrations somewhat dated and unengaging. I think that it would be hard to get a young child to pick this book up at first sight.

This was a great story about a farmer who thought his house was too noisy- until he really figured out what noisy meant! At the end of the day, he realized that the noises in his house were the noises of his family and they were noises that he loved and would rather hear over any other noise. This
Show More
would be a good book to share with children so they can make predictions about what the wise man will say next- it will develop the concept of foreshadowing.

Be thankful for what you have. Life can always be worse. Children are always upset about something, along with everyone else, but this book explains, something could always be worse. It's very short and to the point. A teacher could read this aloud to her students and have them identify the things
Show More
that the farmer is entering into the house, maybe counting how many children, animals, ect.

This book was incredble because of the way it was written. I love the plot of the book as well. The farmer in the book knew exactly what he was doing by bringing more animals into the house. So he can appreciate his home and his family more.

This book was about a man whose house was too noisy, he did not know what to do. after going to the wise man to ask what to do, he was confused becuase he told him to bring all the animals in the house. The problem was that the house was much too noisy with all the family and the animals. The wise
Show More
man told him to take out all of the animals and the house seemed much more quiet then before. This teaches that when you ask for something it might always be better that what it could be.

Cute little tale of a man who learns to appreciate his large family.

This a story of a man and his large, loud, and rowdy family. A wise man advises him to bring all of his animals inside his house to cut down on the noise, but it is only to in the end tell him to take them out. The wise man wants him to realize his noise isn't to noisy; it is perfect. In even
Show More
simpler terms, it could always be worse.

This is about a man who lived in a small house with a big family. With all the people in the small house, the farmer believed it was too noisy. So, he went to a wise man who kept telling him to add more farm animals in the house. After several times, he told the wise man that it was not working.

So, the wise man told him to take all of the animals out of the house! After the relief of the animals he came to the realization it wasn't so loud after all. Great way to show children that it isn't always greener on the other side! Appreciate what you have because it could be worse!

A farmer has a large family in a small home that tends to get really loud, this reminded me of my childhood. He asked an old wise man what he could do to get the noise down but the old wise man kept giving him "funny" advice, like bringing home chickens and donkeys home. Once the farmer couldn't
Show More
take anymore noise he asked the wise one one more time and he told him to remove all the animals. Even though his house was still noisy it seemed quiet compared to before, I guess the wise man was wiser than we thought.
