Have you ever had a day where everything seems to go wrong? Belle is having a bad day and who hasn’t been there? She wakes up to find her baby brother licking all of her jewelry, her mom made a breakfast she just can’t eat, and everything else just seems to go wrong throughout the day.

Belle’s attitude, outbursts, and misbehavior seem to add to this very unpleasant day. Even after Belle’s tantrums, her mother takes her to bed at the end of the day and reads her a story. The mom in the story reassures Belle everyone has those kinds of days and tomorrow is a new day. The end of this book will just melt your heart as you find out what Belle does next. The illustrations will just crack you up as you see Belle through her melt downs. One scene in the book Belle, mom, and baby brother are in a crowded grocery store and Belle is screaming on the top of her lungs. The other customers in the picture all seem express the look of absolute disgust. This book delivers a wonderful message to toddlers and helps parents understand the importance of patients. –Alicia

bella was a little girl who woke up on the wrong side of the bed one day, and said no to everything, but the next day when she woke up she was in a better mood and had a good day. i think this book shows that even kids can have bad days too and its ok.

"My No, No, No Day" was just an okay book for me. The author tells the story of a young girl who is having a very bad day and is not being friendly to anybody she comes into contact with. I do like this book because it has a humorous tone to it and the little girl in the story is getting mad at the

silliest stuff, which was kind of funny to me. The illustrations were also very colorful, detailed and funny as well. For example, the first page of the book shows the mom pushing her baby son in the stroller and the little girl is a few feet behind her laying on the sidewalk with her arms crossed and a very pouty face. The only reason I did not like this book is because the author did not have the mom tell her daughter that the way she was acting was not appropriate or nice, which I thought could have been a better closure to the story. The message in this story may be that everyone has bad days sometimes, you just have to handle them in a positive way rather than making the day worse; for you and for everyone else.

A great read aloud- I love the illustrations and the text. It helps my kids pause and get a little perspective when I reference the book and ask them if they are having a "no, no, no day." My 5 and 3 year olds enjoy it a lot. For all those reviewers who said they didn't think kids would relate and

prefer Alexander' Horrible, No Good Day, my kids don't like or understand that book, but they do understand and love this book.
