Although I enjoy the more recent installments of Bedlam's Bard more, this one still ranks as a favourite. Further, perhaps more so than the first book in the series, this book sets up the more recent installments that see Eric returning to New York, joined by others - some of whom are introduced in

this book. Another good brain candy urban fantasy from Lackey; as usual, her 'brain candy' comes with at least a moderate dose of 'good for you', since by her own admission part of her love for the Fantasy genre is because it's s place where the notion of justtice is still very much a part of the art form. This is a good, casual read and an enjoyable visit with characters readers might have met before and will get a chance to follow for some time to come. Show Less
