CROSSHAIRS (Natchez Trace Park Rangers Book #3)
By: Patricia Bradley
Publisher: Revell
This is a stand-alone book in the Natchez Trace Park Rangers Series, book 3. There's a lot of drama and mystery involved.
ISB Ranger Ainsley Beaumont has come to her hometown to investigate
I haven't read the previous books in this series, but there were no issues with getting to know the main characters and figuring out their personalities and shared history.
Many thanks for the complimentary copy of #Crosshairs from #Revell @Revell #BakerPublishingGroup @BakerPublishingGroup I was under no obligation to post a review.
This one seemed less faith based although they did talk about their faith in daily life and reflected their Christianity and their courtship and those types of decisions.
The mystery was
Would definitely recommend for anyone who loves a mystery, stories set in parks and outdoors and Christians and non-Christians alike. Also, you don't need to have read the other books to understand this one. She mentions in passing people from previous stories but they are in no way central to it.
I was given an arc with the hope of an honest review.
What a wonderful story that begins with murder and ends with lost love - or so it seems. Ainsley Beaumont is a Special Agent with the Park Rangers. Her specialty is investigation and she has come to find out who killed a
Just to make it more interesting, the author throws in some long standing family secrets that yield all kinds of interesting tidbits, but would they lead to yet another murder? Betrayal leads to revenge, but can redemption bring hope and renewed trust?
Book #3 in the Natchez Park Rangers series will not be easily set aside. This reader appreciates the opportunity to access an ARC through Revell, Baker Publishing Group and NetGalley. These impressions and comments are my own and were in no way solicited.
This is Ainsley Beaumont's story, she is going home again, and she barely opens her car door when the action starts, and your mind will be trying to figure this out, but beware, you will be changing your mind and then
Ainsley is reunited with her old flame Linc, can they both let go of past hurts, and unite to find out whom they are looking for, but you will be holding your breath, there is so much action, you can't let your guard down.
Even when some of the answers unfold, this book keeps giving!
This is Christian suspense at it's finest!
I received this book through Net Galley and the Publisher Revell, and was not required to give a positive review.
Crosshairs is another example of Patricia Bradley's ability to capture a reader's attention and keep them invested until the very end. Ainsley's trust issues and her troubled relationship with her father have caused her to question God, but Linc's strong faith is like a beacon for her. A touching faith message, mysterious happenings, and several twists and turns make this a thrilling story that I couldn't put down. Crosshairs is a great addition to the Natchez Trace Park Rangers series, and I look forward to book four.
I received a copy of this book from the author and publisher. There was no obligation for a positive review. These are my own thoughts.
This is a well written, wonderful story that starts out running and doesn't stop. It is fast paced, filled with action, suspense and romance. This is also a great “whodoneit” story, makes it hard to put the book down. Especially since there is a second story line of who is after Ainsley's great-aunt's journals and why. This story focuses on issues such as trusting others, forgiving others and caring for others. While this is part of a series, and some characters and events from previous books are mentioned, this also makes a great stand alone story as well. This is a great crime series and I look forward to reading the fourth book in the series soon.
I voluntarily received a complimentary copy of this book from the Revell Reads Blogging Program. This is my honest review.
I received this book from the Publisher for my honest review.
I found Crosshairs to be full of action and excitement. I really warmed up quickly to the characters of Ainsley and Lincoln and also to Rose and Cora, Ainsley’s grandmother and great-aunt. Ainsley and Lincoln have good chemistry, and they’re both characters who have wounds from their pasts that make them easy to relate to and connect with. The story doesn’t drag along, and there are a lot of different components all coming together — the murder, stolen diaries, an escaped convict, family secrets — and a twist at the end that I didn’t see coming. The author keeps the romance and the language clean, which is something I personally appreciate. Over all, Crosshairs was an enjoyable read, and I look forward to Patricia Bradley’s next book in this series.

This series is connected mainly by the location of where the stories take place as well as the main characters working in law enforcement. The series starts with
In Crosshairs, ISB Ainsley Beaumont has returned to her hometown of Natchez, Mississippi. Her last case in East Tennessee was rough so she is taking some time off to decompress and visit her grandmother. Ainsley’s grandmother and sister, Cora, live across the street from each other and have done so for years. So, the area and neighbors are very familiar to Ainsley but there is danger in the air from different directions. Ainsley must help solve the murder of a local high school student while dodging the constant threats to her life.
To complicate matters, her past is rushing up to meet her when Lincoln Steele, a former romantic interest, is tasked with helping protect Ainsley. Lincoln has his own issues that he must face and overcome if he is going to be successful in protecting Ainsley and rekindling their love. In a well-woven tale of mystery, murder and mayhem, Patricia Bradley takes readers back to Mississippi where it’s hot, humid and deadly!
One of the most enjoyable aspects of the story is the close relationship Ainsley’s grandmother shares with her sister Cora. Cora is writing a book, hoping to uncover a past mistake from diaries recently discovered. Ainsley is in the crosshairs of a man who sees her as responsible for his imprisonment, and he is willing to go to great lengths to achieve his goal. I enjoyed the multiple mysteries that were going on, and the ending was a touch of brilliance! I was intrigued and captivated by the book from start to finish, and the tension was palpable! Don’t miss this exciting read!
