Description

K.C. Keegan and Elliot Gavin -- or Gav, as K.C. affectionately calls him -- are in Granada, Spain, for their dream wedding. But their dream is rudely interrupted when the cult Gav's been studying turns out to be a sophisticated group planning a government takeover. No one guesses that beneath the dark robes, dozens of somber hooded figures joining Easter week processions are carrying weapons instead of crosses. No one, that is, except K.C. and Gav. But will they put the puzzle together in time?

K.C. Keegan and Elliot Gavin (or K.C. and Gav) are back in this story (you would have gotten to know them by reading the cult series book 2 - "Tangled Vines"). This could easily be read as a stand alone story, although there is background that is helpful by reading book 2 first.

in Granada, Spain to get married, teach a course for a week and do some research on a cult Gav is looking in to. But the cult he is looking into turns out to be a group planning a government takeover, and so the group is out to make sure Gav goes away quietly. They will kidnap K.C. and make Gav think she has called off the wedding. All this in hopes that he will leave the country and go home. But no one seems to do as the leader of this group has planned, including his own people.

There are a lot of puzzle pieces to put together in this story and a lot of people you have to figure out who to trust. It was a well written mystery and suspense in the land of Spain. I liked the way that Gav never gave up on K.C., not fully believing the lie that she had called off their wedding, even though the 'cult' did a great job of making it seem real. Was glad to see all the pieces fit together well at the end.
