A sweet going-to-bed story with completely excellent illustrations of ten adorable pigs and great colors. Great read-aloud and especially nice close up to see the pictures.

There is a real artistry in the pictures. I liked how the dirty little
piggies are mischevious and they are quickly followed by the angel
piggies. Then at the end when its bedtime, the piggies come together
like in prayer but they are really kissing each other goodnight.
Now I like the board book

format but with illustrations I find that its much better in the large format. I really feel this with my tiny copy of 'The Napping House'. I only realized that the flea was on the post at the end of the book when I reada the large hardcover version.

Concept Book. This is a great book! Each page is a counting book of fingers. As the book progresses there are 5 piggy characters on each hand with their own personalities. Little details make for fine observations. This teaches the concepts of fingers, opposites, and bedtime.

This is a cute book for small children to talk about where thier fingers have been and what they have been doing. It is a good book to read right before bed.

This is a book about Piggies. This is about finger counting. The book talks about the size of the piggies, sometimes they are hot piggies, cold piggies, clean little piggies, and sometimes they are dirty piggies. They can be good piggies. They are not good at bedtime because they skip down to my

belly and then dance on my toes. They run away and hide and then when you put them together they give kisses. There are two fat kisses, two smart kisses, two long kisses, and two silly kisses. Then they give two small kisses goodnight. This book is great because it allows children to have an imagination about reading and counting on their fingers and toes.

This is a VERY cute book about finger and toes. It would be great for kindergarten or pre-k children. It could be read before nap time or bed time at home. The pictures are very vivid and fun. It talks about all of the different things your "piggies" can be. For example, hot and cold. I would

definitely read this book to my kindergarten class.

Ten little piggies dance on a young child's fingers and toes before finally going to sleep. Each piggie is playing, reading, or dancing around having fun.

Good for kindergarten. This book is very similar to the story we were all told when we were little. I'm not too fond of the illustrations but would be good for a pre-k class. Good to work on counting fingers and toes.

A charming rendition of counting your fingers before going to bed. The Illustrations make this book so fun. Good for very young children.

Summary: A hilarious book about the description of pigs on fingers each time a new pig is described with a different characteristic trait the more fingers are added into the story.
Personal Reaction: I think this book is a great way to help children count.
Classroom Extension Idea: I could ask the
Show More
children to count their fingers but instead of using the word fingers i could pretend their fingers are pigs.

This is a cute book about counting little piggies on 2 hands and all the things they do and what they are like before going to bed. The illustrations are very vibrant and add a lot of personality to each of the piggies. There is also a lot of repetition in the story so it would be a good beginning

book for children who are starting to read.

"This little piggy" book just didn't tickle my funny bone like I expected it too. Ah, well.

This was a cute book that discribed how everyone's piggies can be good, bad, clean, dirty, hot, and cold. Small students would enjoy reading the book because the pictures are funny.

The story is simple yet cute and fun. The child discusses his/her five pairs of piggies (fingers, thumbs), assigning a temperament to each pair. great read for children.

Make sure you have good light and clean glasses before attempting to read this. There's so much detail in which to revel - it's the book read in the part of the bedtime ritual *before* tucking into bed. My favorite piggy is of course the smart one on the right hand, who is reading (or ocassionally

writing) in *almost* every scene.
