Two teams of bats play an exciting nighttime baseball game.
Description
Hurry up! Come one—come all!
We’re off to watch the bats play ball!
You’ll never forget your first game: the green so green, the presence of heroes past, and togetherness with family and friends, rooting for the home team.
But you think humans are the only ones who enjoy America’s national pastime? Grab your bat—the other kind—and your mitt, and join these captivating bats as they flutter off to watch their all-stars compete. How about a mothdog? Or some Cricket Jack?
In sweeping compositions that transport fans to the rightside-up and upside-down world of bats at play, Brian Lies treats us to a whole new ballgame.

This book is about bats that wait until it's dark to go out to play baseball. It's a rhyming book and describes what it's like for bats to play baseball.
I liked the book but it's kinda hard to read without practice. After reading it a few things, I got the hang of it.

I enjoyed it for its idea of incorporating something from our daytime world into the nighttime world of bats, throwing in some new information on bats.

This was a nice story. The rhymng text and the beautiful illustrations compliment each other nicely. The story is thrilling with allusions to baseball history and accomplishments from Major League Baseball. I enjoyed it.

This book wasn't all that fun or appealing. Lots of words and confusing a bit at times.

This series of bat stories, makes me laugh right out loud. In this book, the bats awake at night and fly to the field.
While the story is not in depth, or intellectually challenging, I love the rhymes and the clear, crisp detailed images! I never fail to smile and laugh when I read these books.

Moth dogs, get your moth dogs! A cute story, beautifully illustrated! And, the umpire is always blind! :-)
