Description

Personal Reaction:
I saw the movie before I read the book, and since I loved the movie I knew I would love the book. This was the first book I every read to a group of students so now I have an even stronger like for it.
Classroom Extension Ideas:
1. This book would make a nice lesson on siblings and family and how even though they fight sometimes the love that is there will always be strong.
2. During the winter time this would make for a fun art and/or science project making craft snowmen and exploring the snow.

Elsa and Anna are playing in the castle and Elsa accidentally freezes Anna's head. Their parents take them to the trolls and heal Anna but worn that they need to more careful. After that the sisters don't really get to see each other so that they can both remain safe. Their parents unfortunately get lost at sea making them even lonelier. Elsa is crowned Queen and is able to keep her secret until her and Anna get into a fight. Elsa runs away and Anna has to try and find her. Another accident occurs where Elsa freezes Anna's heart. The trolls say the only to fix this one is by an act of true love. Everyone thinks it has to be by a true loves kiss but it actually comes from the love the sisters have for one another. Summary: This story follows the Disney movie, Frozen. Sisters Ana and Elsa were once very close but after an accident with Elsa's magic powers that left Ana hurt they became estranged. In an effort to repair their relationship Ana goes on a journey to find Elsa and make things right.
