The Night Is Forever (Krewe of Hunters) by Heather Graham is a well done mystery with a fairly surprising ending. There is a nice little complement of ghosts for spice. I thought they could have been a bit more helpful solving this little mystery, but they were good fun to have around.

mistake, this is not great literature, or the right book if you want a cerebral read. This is escape reading, fluff...but well done fluff. I liked it and will most likely be reading more of this series. I have several friends that I plan to recommend this to, and if you even stopped to consider it, I think you will like it, too. Take a chance. The characters are very likable and I look forward to revisiting them in future books.

The story begins when Olivia Gordon discovers Marcus Danby, dead in a ravine. His death was made to look like an accident, but Olivia is certain Marcus was murdered. Marcus comes back as a ghost and talks to Olivia and asks her to help him. He tells her he was murdered.

Marcus Danby founded the

horse Farm, a therapy center, that was located near Nashville. The Horse Farm had been Marcus's passion and his life. His door was opened to any abandoned creature. Marcus brought in clients - patients to work with horses - or dogs sometimes. The Horse Farm was extremely well respected. And now, Olivia and the rest of the employees, at the Horse Farm, had to move forward with the work Marcus had deemed so important.

Olivia worked at the Horse Farm as a therapist. She did impressive work with the horses, but what she managed with people was equally beautiful. She was loved and respected by everyone. Olivia had the ability to see ghosts and talk to them. She was told she was like a ghost magnet and some called it a gift, but some called it a curse. She shared this ability with her cousin, Malachi, who was in charge of the Krewe, an FBI Unit of Paranormals.

Special Agent Dustin Blake, my favorite character, was quite charming. Dustin comes to Nashville, at the request of Malachi, to investigate the death of Marcus. He also shares the gift of seeing ghosts. There is a strong chemistry between Olivia and Dustin and a romance slowly develops and an investigation that leads in many directions. And the plot thickens!

This book includes mystery, paranormal, and romance. The author had such a creative way of weaving together this multi layered story. I found myself engaged in the storyline early on. I did not anticipate the ending and I must say, I was a bit disappointed, not finding it to be plausible. Also, there were many secondary characters and I found myself confused at times.

The author really elaborates on the paranormal encounters, going into much depth - very interesting! I also liked the bit of Civil War history interjected through the ghost encounters. Yes, I would recommend this book, especially to those of you who are into paranormal - you'll love it. My rating is 4 stars.

Thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin for providing me with a complementary copy of this book to review. All opinions shared are my own.

I like the Krewe series. They are filled with mystery with touch of the supernatural. There are love scenes that I skipped over.
In The Night is Forever their are ghosts all over in the story that so enrich the story. Marcus died of a drug overdose. Everyone believes after 30 years clean he relasps

except Olivia. Olivia found Marcus's body and his ghost that said he did not go back to drugs, He was murdered and he needs her help.

Olivia faints I would to, bad enough to find a dead body without its ghost being there too. Olivia calls her cousin Malachi and his Krewe, an FBI unit of paranormal investigators, and tells him what Marcus said.

Dustin Blake is a FBI Agent. He wanted to join Krewes but there is no way to request it. Dustin is asked to go in undercover as a agent who is burned out. This will be his first assignment for the Krewe unit.

Their is lots of suspects, lots of ghosts, and lots of animals. I had no idea who or why was killing people at the horse farm.
I liked the ghosts that kept popping up, also liked the boys that were trying to get their lives back.
Dustin fits well in the Krewe unit with the others. It was a entertaining story.
I was given this ebook and asked to give honest review of it by Netgalley and Harlequin.

In Graham’s paranormal mystery novel, equine therapist Olivia Gordon works at the Horse Farm, a facility specializing in mental and physical recovery. Suddenly, people are dying and before every death Olivia sees a ghost horse and rider leaving her to contemplate if it’s a warning or just a

clue. Liv calls her cousin Malachi and his Krewe, an FBI unit of paranormal investigators for help. Malachi sends his new member, Dustin Blake to initiate an investigation unaware that a fire will be ignited between Dustin and Olivia long before the case is solved.

Another powerful installment to the Krewe of Hunters series.

The books in this series just keep getting better and better. Admittedly, I came into this series a little late as I've only read the last four, but I do have the other ones in my TBR pile. I love the mix of history and the paranormal that each book has and I feel as if I actually learn something

while reading them. I didn't feel as if Dusting and Olivia had the chemistry that some of the previous couples had, but it wasn't as if there was no spark either. Each time I see a new book in this series I get a little excited cause I know that I'm in for a heck of a read. Can't wait to see where we go to next and recommend this book. Can be read as a stand alone, but as each book has couples from previous books it's best to read in order.

First Thought when Finished: Gosh darn it! I am still in love with the Krewe! The Night is Forever was an excellent addition to this series!

Nashville, Civil War, Hot Agent, Smart and Caring Woman, Dead General just lending a hand = one intense but sexy Krewe of Hunters book. I really liked Liv and Dustin. They each had such unique skills (which is important in this world) and could feel their connection immediately. The case was strong and the "fringe" was well placed. As always Heather just pulled me and kept me on my toes till the very end.

Audio Thoughts:

Narrated By Luke Daniels / Length: 9 hrs and 28 mins

Luke is excellent in general but the Krewe is where I fell in love with his narration style. His accents, pacing, and general "air" are perfect for this series. Another great job!

Final Thoughts: You should check out the Krewe of Hunters!

*I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review*

When I requested "The Night Is Forever" on NetGalley I didn't realize it was the 11th book in a series and I was afraid I wouldn't understand the story but, thankfully, my fears were unfounded, since the story is perfectly
Show More
independent.

Krewe of Hunters is a special unit on the FBI, responsible for the investigation of paranormal phenomenons, and Dustin Blake is its newest member. His first assignment consists on investigating the death of the owner of the Horse Farm, a farm specialized on equine therapy, on the request of Malachi’s cousin, Olivia (Liv) Gordon. Olivia doesn’t believe the oficial version that Marcus had fallen back into drugs and is convinced he was murdered. But, actually, Liv is not basing her belief on her instinct alone, she has seen Marcus’s ghost and he told he’s been murdered, although he doesn’t know by whom or why.

That is how Liv and Dustin, who can also see and communicate with ghosts, end up investigating the case together, with Dustin being undercover at the farm as a patient. No one really seems to have a motive to want Marcus dead and when there is another murder it seems even harder to establish a motive and identify the murderer...

I liked this story who is very believable, despite its paranormal touch. The romance between Liv and Dustin, despite being almost instantaneous, didn't seem forced, after all, I can believe that two people who share the same uncommon power get closer during a dangerous situation. The killer’s motive, however, seemed weak to me but, sadly, it could happen... I’ll keep reading the series.

The story takes place in present day Tennessee, but is filled with Civil War History and folk lore of the area. Blending the old with the new makes this book interesting and entertaining.

Olivia Gordon works at a horse farm that specializes in rehab therapy for people with physical and mental
Show More
issues. Her specialty is in horses. She feels horses can teach you boundaries in just about every aspect of life. She loves her job...that is until people start dying for no reason. Olivia is not your normal therapist...she sees and speaks with ghosts. When the owner of the horse farm, Marcus Danby,is found dead of an overdose of heroin she calls her cousin who is a member of the Krewe Unit. Dustin Blake who is FBI and a member of Krewe is sent undercover since he grew up in the Nashville area and no one would suspect he is there to investigate a murder.

Heather Graham weaves an interesting plot by mixing history, modern day and supernatural without it becoming a history lesson. There was just enough mystery and suspense to keep the pages turning.

I always enjoy a Krewe of Hunters book, and while they all have more than a few things in common, one of the things that separates them is the setting and all the historical facts that are sprinkled in about that place. The Night is Forever takes place somewhere outside of Nashville, Tennessee, and
Show More
because of this rather vague location, I didn't feel like I got the usual historical tidbits I look forward to reading, but the story itself takes place on The Horse Farm, "a facility that assists patients with mental and physical recovery." Olivia Gordon works at this facility, and when her boss, a recovering addict, turns up dead with drugs in his system, she seems to be the only one who doesn't buy this story. She calls her cousin, Malachi, a member of the Krewe, who sends in Dustin Blake to investigate to see if there's anything to her suspicions.

This series of paranormal mysteries/romances doesn't disappoint and is always fun to read. I look forward to reading the next book in the series, and continue to recommend it.
