Description

They were the young ones, the bright ones, the ones with the dreams. From the Nazi-prowled wastes of North Africa to the bloody corridors of Europe, they honorably answered the call. War-it was their duty, their job, their life. They marched off as boys and they came back-those who made it-as soldiers and professionals forged in the heat of battle... "An American epic." -- Tom Clancy

Loved this series. I engaged in the character's lives, read the books quickly and was left wanting more.

A book that kept my interest--page after page. I listened to it almost entirely. It begins in WWII and goes on through the end of the 40s. The characters appear, at first, not to be Lieutenants...but, then it becomes apparent that the lieutenants are the purpose of the story. Exciting listen!

Fourth time reading this first book in the Brotherhood of War series. It's like meeting up with an old friend you haven't seen for a while. The characters are well known to you. The story may be familiar but still absorbing. W.E.B Griffin is a master storyteller. Highly recommend to anyone who is
