This book reminded me why I don't read contemporaries very often. The story is about a divorced couple who discovers they really aren't divorced. So many of the plot devices used were superficial and the hero and heroine never really developed. I don't want to include spoilers so I can't go through

I have started contacting publishers with all the typos I find in their books. Is anyone besides me finding that proof-reading is becoming a lost art? Since Penguin wanted me to go through the hoopla of registering an email account with them (major nuisance), I decided to list the errors here.

laid back attitude, and Suzanne is always flying off the handle with snarky comments and a rather bitchy attitude. There seem to be lingering feelings on both sides, but they stubbornly refuse to acknowledge them. Nikki plays a prominent role in this story since Suzanne is her wedding planner. I could have done without the play-by-play of the planning with bridezilla. I don't care if it adds to the irony that the bimbo seems to have a better clue about marriage than the "seasoned veteran", Miss Uptight herself. Though some parts were funny, I would have had more fun watching tumbleweeds roll by.
The rest of this review doesn't have a spark of optimism, so if you don't wnt to know how I really feel, stop now.
When Suzanne briefly mentions how her marriage to Ryder came about, I feel even more infuriated with her. She wanted her marriage to work and she loved Ryder, but she says so herself that she didn't want to talk to anyone, not even him about the reasons for the failure of their marriage. How can you be married and not talk to your husband and expect everything to be hunky dory? She doesn't consider that maybe her perception of Ryder's intentions back then could have been a product of her own insecurities. Jeez, wouldn't that just be a b*tch if it turned out to be true?
I was a little disappointed at the ending. I was expecting a bit more drama – like perhaps Ryder's stuffy PR people may have said something to her back then that fueled her insecurities, about her possibly ruining his budding career, that sort of thing. No such luck.
Thank goodness for the reoccurring appearances of Tammy and Elec and Ty and Imogen. They're good eggs.

Man I don't even know what to say. After raving about her first two books, then reading this one...I'm stunned. Flabbergasted even. Like, what happened?

But honestly, I really liked Ryder. He's caring, sweet, funny, and smoking hot himself. He's the only reason I gave this book three stars.
I'm not sure if I'm gonna read the next in the series or not. I probably will just because I hate to leave things unfinished, but I'm so hoping we get back some of the magic of the first two books.

this one. She's mean, self-centered, cruel to Ryder constantly, and just flat out depressing. I basically couldn't stand her, and the only (and I mean ONLY) reason I finished this story was because of Ryder. But the thing is, WHY was he in love with someone who seemed to have no redeeming qualities at all, except that she looked "smoking hot" in a pair of jeans? No accounting for hormones I guess.But honestly, I really liked Ryder. He's caring, sweet, funny, and smoking hot himself. He's the only reason I gave this book three stars.

place because I didn't really feel we got a definite reason to why their marriage first ended and sometimes the story felt a little rushed. Maybe if the books were a little longer, I could have gotten the full body experience, but I didn't. The epilogue left me a little hanging toom but it was a good hook for the next book. Show Less

Erin is always good for a little bit of smutty reading. I didn't realize I had read the first two in the series until I started reading this. It's always hard when it's a while between books of a series to remember what happened before.
