Jake's Review: This book is awesome. The pictures are cool and the rhyming story is fun and easy to read. I even think the little book hating midget would let mom read this one to him. I still like this one even though I am too old to be reading it.

illustrations in this picture book are so beautiful I would like to have them plastered as artwork all over my house. The backgrounds are visually stunning, the expression on the characters are delightful and the rhyme is simple yet wonderful. This is a favorite of the whole family. This is the perfect book for storytime and one that I recommend all parents, educators and librarians have a copy of. It is truly delightful, fun and sweet. When Jake was young he requested that we read this one too him every night. I had the honor of meeting Bill and Esperanca at the OLA conference a couple of years, and have this copy signed to Jake (Sorry Jesse it was before your time)

This was one of those favourite never fail books when I would read my daughter to sleep at night.

An amusing book with fun, full-spread illustrations and the sort of book that begs to be read aloud. It has a repeating chorus that you might hear kids start saying on their own once they get it down, so fair warning.
