This is a very sweet book about a little spider who is born and immediately goes on a search for her mother. She runs into a beetle and the beetle decides to help her search for her mom. They ask several other bugs if they have seen her mom, and all say no. The little spider almost gets eaten by

baby birds, but the beetle saves her life. The little spider says that she has at last found her mom, the beetle, because she loves her the best. This book is illustrated very brightly and captures kids attention. The lesson of the one who loves you the best can take care of you and not look a thing like you could be taught here.

Little Miss Spider and Miss Spider Tea Party are great books to read with Kindergartners. I think this book is fun to read because there are number sequencing and rhyming patterns. It helps the children understand why it is important to be kind and nice to each other.

to the spider from the bettle. It put a smile on my face because I feel like that with my Gabriel house kids.
Extension I - Have the students make a spider with some yellow and black constuction paper.
Extension II - Have the students sing along came the spider.

Davik Kirk swoons readers with his vibrant artwork, simple poetry, and and touching lessons. Little Miss Spider is a picture book about a freshly hatched spider who cannot find her mother. After journeying through many strangers, she finds that her mother is the one who loves her the most, which

turns out to be an adoring beetle who takes Miss Spider under her wing. This book is perfect for young children, especially in teaching them about adoption or children who live with grandparents or anybody who is not their blood parents.

There are many reasons why I liked this book “Little Miss Spider”. One the reasons was how the booked rhymed when the little spider was looking for her mother. “Watching brothers and sisters, All scooting for cover, She dangled there wondering, Where is my mother?” This creates a rhythm to

the story, which makes it easy for the reader to follow along. The book also pushes the reader to think about what qualities a mother should have. Little Miss Spider keeps looking for someone who looks like herself, but only bigger, “Have you seen my mom? She’s like me, only big.” One of the characters a beetle named Betty shows concern and provides comfort to help the little spider find her mom. In the end, Betty rescues Little Miss Spider from being eaten by hungry hatchlings. The story demonstrates to the reader that Betty the Beetle becomes a mother figure for Little Miss Spider because she provides safety and comfort. “For finding you mother, There’s one certain test. You must look for the creature, Who loves you the best.” The big idea of this story is that it does not matter what someone looks like on the outside, but how much someone love you on the inside.

This book is a wonderful book for a mother to read to her adopted child. It shows unconditional love a stranger must have in order to take in a child and love them as their own. Throughout this picture book, Little MIss Spider is on a search for her mother and runs into a Beetle willing to help her

on her journey. The journey entails the relationship between Little Miss Spider and Ms. Beetle. Little Miss Spider has such and enormous amount of determination when searching for her mother. The book ends with Little Miss Spider realizing that a true mother doesn't necessarily mean it has to be your birth mother. A true mother is someone who loves you to the best of their capability.

This is a story about Little Miss Spider's first day of school. This is a great story that helps students reflect on memories of their first day of school. The ending lesson of this story is that everyone is special and has a special gift. This book is great for the elementary level grades.
