quixotic adventures never turn out the way they think they do. This is a fun read which alludes to the tradition of masked hero tales gone awry. The reading level is right in the middle of the easy reader spectrum, with a maximum of about ten lines per page, but still using a very simple vocabulary. However, the artwork isn't terrific, and there is too little white space at the bottom of the page for beginning readers. There are also some allusions, such as to the beginning of "The Three Musketeers", which will go over the heads of the intended audience. Recommended for first through second grades.
