I have read every one of Terri Blackstock's suspense books and this is the first one I've read of hers that was told in the first person. It's told in the viewpoint of two persons. At first I didn't know whether or not I'd like reading it in first person but I quickly got into the flow and did not

mind a bit. Having the story told in first person gets you into their mind. The firs person was Cassie Cox. She is on the run because her DNA is all over a murder scent. Her friend Brent was murdered and she knows she will be accused of this murder that she did not commit. Casey assumes the identity of a deceased woman who is approximately her own age. Casey is not a believer but the Lord throws people in her path who are and has an influence on Casey. The other person is Dylan Roberts a discharged military veteran suffering from PTSD. He has been hired by Brent's family to locate Casey. At first he believes Casey to be the killer but the more he studies her doubts begin to formulate in his mind.

There is another mystery in the story, the story of a missing girl. This mystery is resolved but I will let you the reader know whether or not the girl is found dead or alive. Can't spoil it for you now can I?

I can tell you that if you read this book you won't be able to put it down. Gets ready heavy on the suspense on the last few pages!

The only thing I did not enjoy about this book is that it left you hanging. Casey is still on the run. Hopefully, it will be resolved in the next book.

This book is due to be released on February 18, 2016. Thanks to Netgalley and Zondervan for allowing me to read and preview this book.

This is the fourth book in the Porter Family Series. Each book features the romance of one of the Porter children. Dru is the only girl and the fourth child. I have read ALL of them and I am very happy that I did!

Dru has been through a lot in her life. At twenty-six she has seen things as a marine

and a body guard that are hard for a person to deal with. She has stamina, wit, and a backbone. She stands up for what and who she believes in. She is a feisty character that is a whole lot of fun to discover.

Gray is a professional American football player who is receiving death threats. Dru comes into his life, as his bodyguard. The two of them from the start instinctively know how to push the other. The chemistry between them is undeniable.

The story is about two people who want to protect the other. It's about their personal feelings and attraction for each other. Both have baggage from the past that inhibit them from sharing with the other their past and feelings. The suspense in the story is secondary to the couple figuring themselves out and where they want their relationship to go.

I enjoyed this book. I'm in the middle of a home improvement project, but my goals came secondary to the book. Who cares about a messy house and the paint brushes that need to be cleaned out when there is a great book to read?

The book contains non-graphic violence and kissing.

Sparks fly in Becky Wade’s newest offering in the Porter Family series. In Her One And Only, big football player Gray Fowler and tough-as-nails Dru Porter elude stalkers and dodge bullets as they resist pulse-raising chemistry. A good choice for a football widow looking for reading material

during the season, I wouldn’t really wait until August to read this book. This is romance with a touch of suspense at its finest. I loved this one and am betting that you will too!

There is much to love in Her One And Only. Witty banter between the main characters kept me smiling. The unconventional characters — a female executive protective agent assigned to protect an NFL football player? – were refreshing. I loved how Dru and Gray challenged each other emotionally and spiritually as they fought against their attraction. I also loved the secondary characters and got a kick out of the additional flavor they added to the story. The romance was sweet and spicy and kept this reader wanting more. Becky didn’t stint on the plot either, adding enough suspense to keep the characters and the reader on her toes. Complex issues of faith, trust and forgiveness in light of past experiences and bad choices are dealt with naturally. And if you are a fan of Becky’s previous books in this series, you will be pleased with the way she wove Bo and Meg, Ty and Celia and Jake and Lyndie’s stories into the narrative.

If you haven’t read any of the other books in this series, rest assured Her One And Only can be read as a standalone. But I bet once you read it you will want to find out just what you missed in the other novels. And why all the betting? You’ll just have to read Her One And Only to find out!

Highly Recommended.

Audience: adults.

Her One and Only, the fourth and apparently final book in the Porter Family series by Becky Wade is an engaging and entertaining book. Never having read the first three I can say this is easily a stand alone book. There is enough back story to not leave the reader lost and enough lure to make you

want to go back and read the complete stories of the other family members. Dru Porter is a former Marine now a bodyguard; she is a beautiful pistol-packing biker-gal who is tough but chic. Her new client is the famous NFL player Gray Fowler and of course, he is on the wrong team as the Porter family roots for the opposition! As the search for Gray's stalker continues, the relationship between Dru and Gray becomes complicated. Can she keep him safe? Can she remain detached emotionally to do her job well? The story is action-packed and moves quickly and the characters are strong and likable. And, oh, you don’t want to forget a fan or make sure there’s a fainting couch nearby with the kissing scenes. Thousands of woman would want Gray to be their man, yet Dru longs for a place in his life. Can he truly just become Dru's alone? Can love rescue this relationship from the past, a past that Gray has been trying to leave behind most of his life? Family, danger, romance and a thread of the Christian faith are woven together to bring a great finish to this series.

Her One and Only by Becky Wade is the fourth and final novel in the Porter Family series. This novel probably could stand alone, but Meg and Bo (from Book One, Undeniably Yours) feature prominently and I think it might feel a bit disconnected if I hadn't read the previous books. My favorite part of Dru and Gray's story was the tension and sizzle of their personalities. The obvious attraction and issues between them held my attention. The plot was nicely paced and the climax was not what I expected, making it even better. I'll definitely keep this novel and likely reread the entire series in the future. Readers who've enjoyed any of the Porter family series, thus far, will likely enjoy Her One and Only as well.

This is a great series by Becky Wade and I like the military aspect that she has put into the books. I enjoyed seeing Dru prove herself to her assignment, and I can see his concern for a woman to be "protecting" a big football player, but she holds her own.
I liked the trust aspect of the book as

Devoted fans of the "Porter Family Series" from author Becky Wade are in for a reader's treat with Book 4, "Her One and Only". This time, the focus is on Porter sister Dru, a former Marine now working as a bodyguard. When NFL standout Gray Fowler becomes the target of a stalker, Dru is assigned as

his protector. While Gray soon realizes that Dru is a petite powerhouse, he still has trouble accepting an attractive young woman as his "executive protection agent". Dru is an expert in marksmanship and martial agents. She will need all of her skills--as well as her thoughts in sharp focus--to protect her client from danger and to protect her own heart from being captured by the handsome and appealing Gray. Her previous assignment did not go well, and keeping Gray safe is also part of rebuilding her career. A relationship between the two of them could lead to disaster, but hearts have a mind of their own. As the two of them get to know each other, the attraction becomes palpable and so does the need to trust and rely upon one another. The present danger is very real, and so is the necessity of letting go of past troubles. Will a renewal of faith and hope lead to a lasting love and life filled with happiness? "Her One and Only" is the finale for the "Porter Family Series", and I highly recommend the works of author Becky Wade for lovers of wonderfully-written, inspiring contemporary romantic fiction.

Her One and Only is the last book in the Porter Family series by Becky Wade. As a big fan of romantic suspense, I definitely give this book five stars. This book stars Dru Porter, the youngest member of the family and only daughter. Dru is a former Marine and currently working private security. She

is hired to protect Gray Fowler, an NFL football player, who is being stalked. I loved watching Dru and Gray's relationship develop while sitting on the edge of my seat as Dru tracks down the stalker. I really appreciated a strong heroine, great banter between the characters, just the right amount of romance, and a storyline that kept me guessing

Although you could read this as a standalone novel, I would recommend reading the rest of the series first. I enjoyed the updates on the Porter brothers and their families in Her One and Only.

I am sad to see this series come to an end as all her fans are, but this book was a great conclusion to the Porter Family series.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
