Description

Sara's life turns upside down when someone leaves her a funerary urn, black roses, and death threats on her doorstep. Fearing her work as a stripper and showgirl has put her in the sights of a demented stalker, she turns to her best friend and fellow dancer for help. Instead of a safe haven, all Sara finds is betrayal. Hunted by creatures she once believed were stories meant to frighten children, she is given a choice: become one of them, or die. Lovely as always. And like heck this is a standalone - it's a continuation of the Witch & Wolf series. I don't remember Sanders, but Desmond and Wendy show up almost immediately, and the rest of their family follow shortly thereafter. The last...half? Two-thirds? of the book are the family

(including Sara and Sanders) having fun teasing and attacking one another - oh yeah, and dealing with a rogue Alpha, aided by traitors in the pack, doing his best to capture and/or kill them. Y'know, just by the way, while they concentrate on relationships... There are relatively few characters here; neither Sanders' nor Richard's pack play much of a part. Which is good, since both packs are huge and it would get very confusing very fast. Fun read, great to see these characters again and some very nice twists (puppies!). I'll be looking for more in this world, and other books by Blain - always good.
