Buzz has a nightmare that his best friend Fly Guy has created a gigantic Frankenfly monster.
Description
Buzz dreams about Frankenfly--but Fly Guy is a friend, not a monster!
In the latest installment of the NEW YORK TIMES bestselling Fly Guy series, Buzz and Fly Guy spend a day together playing some spooky games and doing arts and crafts projects. When Buzz goes to bed, Fly Guy stays awake and is "bizzie"! Buzz has a nightmare that a gigantic Frankenfly monster is out to get him! But when he wakes up, all he sees is Fly Guy, who fell asleep making posters showing that he and Buzz are best friends.
The wacky dream scene involving Frankenfly is fun and hilarious, not scary. Buzz awakens to a sweet message of friendship that is nothing to be afraid of.

I liked this book for two reasons. First, the writing was engaging. There was lots of action in the book, especially when Buzz Boy went to sleep and Fly guy got to work. Due to the action, I wanted to continuously turn the page to see what would happen next. Second, the plot was paced well. The

story wasn’t too slow or too fast at any one time. The action played hand in hand with the pace of the plot. The illustrations helped with the action too because the illustrations showed motion and expression. On page 4, Buzz boy is moving in a monster like motion and page 11 shows expression of power on Fly guys face. The main idea of the story is to have imagination and that it is okay to have imagination. Show Less

Small words do not detract from the silly charm of Ted Arnold's Fly Guy. This easy reader version of Fly Guy has a nice mix of smaller and larger words and it is separated into miniscule chapters.
