Ten little fish swim along an ocean reef, each finding a different reason to leave until there is only one left.

Description

Bestselling author Audrey Wood and artist son Bruce create an undersea counting book that's full of the same vivid imagery and fun story elements that have made their alphabet books so successful!
It's an undersea countdown in the newest book by bestselling author Audrey Wood and her dynamic, digital-artist son, Bruce. Follow ten little fish as they swim along a beautiful ocean reef, one by one departing from the school for different reasons, eventually leaving one fellow all alone. What will he do? Along comes another, and that makes two! Soon he becomes a father and she becomes a mother--with ten little children of their own. The rhyming text helps readers go from one to ten and back again, and each illustration pops with all the color and depth of an underwater playground.

“Ten Little Fish” by Audrey Wood and illustrated by Bruce Wood is a counting picture book. It starts out with ten fish and slowly counts down to one and back again that ends with a happy ending.
This book is so cute! Of course if an adult was just reading it to themselves it would not be much

fun at all. Reading it to the children is the fun part. The children like to get involved in the counting down and all the bright colors.
Extensions could be done while studying about nature or animals. It can also be helped to show children how fun it is to know their numbers and different ways numbers can be used.

“Ten Little Fish” written by Audrey and Bruce Wood is great counting book for young children. There are ten fish in the story, and they follow each other in a line. One by one, the fish start to leave the school of fish and swim off on their own; the fish leave the school for various reasons.

At the end of the story, there is only one fish left and wonders what to do; this fish meets another fish and they have ten little fish of their own. This a great story for children to work on numbers and counting. This book is very simple and would be best suited for Kindergarten or First grade students.

A counting book about 10 little fish. Each one leaves to do other things until only one little fish is left. However, he falls in love and becomes a father to 10 fish.

Cute book! Very easy!

Ten little fish are swimming through the sea, and each one has their own adventure. One fish leaves the group of ten and the group becomes nine. Each page one fish leaves the group counting down to one, then back to ten again. Each page has a different rhyme to go along with the adventures.

This is a good book for kindergarten and first grade. It is about 10 fish and it couns down. It is good for when children are learning subtraction.

Children will love this picture book because of its colorful pictures and pattern. The rhyming pattern makes predicting numbers simple and helps them as they count to ten. This is a great book to read when teaching children basic counting skills, anything related to the ocean, and the concept of rhyming.

I am not crazy about this book, but it is very educational teaching children about animals, colors, and counting numbers. I would recommend this book for beginners but no higher than Kindergarten.

This is a wonderful fiction story for young beginning readers. Each page has only one sentence which contains wonderful rhymes. The story ocean focused and teaches children how to count to ten. The pictures are full page and descriptive for the extremely beginning readers to visualize the story

Ten little fish is a counting book for younger students. This is a good book for younger students to learn to count and it has rhymes which is really repetitive and good for younger students.

Ten Little Fish count down as they disperse, but the one fish left starts the count back to ten.

A counting story with computer-generated illustrations of tropical fish. The story begins with ten fish, descends to one fish and then counts back up when the one remaining fish gets married and children are born. The story rhymes. It is a bit too long for a baby story time, but the text to page

ratio is appropriate for babies. Older children will enjoy the rhyme and better understand the relationship between counting down and back up. Ages: 0-5.

Ten little fish is a counting book with a repetitive chorus theme which counts down and then back up. It is a bit lengthy, but really does a good job of hammering in the lines for very young children. The pictures are really vivid and colorful, so much so in fact it looks like most books could not

even be this bright in color if they tried. The book is good for learning counting and colors, and I would recommend this book for children ages 1 - 6.

okay counting book, I have some problems with the book though, rhyming heaven and seven. Last fish at the end becomes mother and father and have more babies, seems a little reproductive for a counting book. Otherwise bright colors and easy counting book for storytime.

I liked it because we could count backwards.

Delightful illustrations, digitally created, tell the "counting down" story of then little fish.
It is fun for children because the next number down is not shown until you turn the page, allowing them to fill it in as you read before continuing the story.
