Simple and direct, this book instructs the reader/knitter in the traditions and practices of Shetland lace. A simple spiral-bound book, lies flat for easy reading while working. Printed on both sides of the page, the charts are reinforced with written description, and large, high contrast
Suggestions for design applications of patterns and charts are helpful for the intermediate to advanced knitter who would like to design their garment.
Book is 8-1/2 x 11 inches, spiral bound, printed in 1997 by Hazel Carter. Proceeds from the sale of the book were donated to the Scholarship fund of the Saint Andrew's Society of Madison, WI aiding young people in the study of Scottish Arts and Crafts.
