This short chapter book is very informational about American history, as well as a great biography on George Washington. The text has several chapters that each tell about a different time period in Washington's life. The text is written for mostly 3rd graders, but could be kept in a 2nd or 4th

grade class as well. The text is written is lengthy paragraphs but is in large font and includes lots of small pictures and diagrams. Along with learning tons about George Washington, a lot can be learned about American history in general in this book as well.
