I really enjoyed reading, "Bill and Pete To The Rescue." I would read this book to second or third graders. The book is about crocodiles on the bank of the Nile. A big bad man came and capture crocodiles to use them in a pet show and then make a suit case out of them. The little crocodile Bill had

enough of this and he went to set the other crocodiles free. He traveled from the Nile all the way to the Decatur Bayou in Louisiana. There he met many great alligators who wanted to help him capture the bad man. So they set out to find the bad man and they did. The crocodile and his other family returned back to the Nile, and Bill was the hero. I thought this was a great book. It can teach children about never giving up and team work. The book also has some educational aspects, like talking about the different places and different crocodiles. I would reccomend this book to any teacher.

Bill is a crocodile who lives on the Nile with his best buddy, a bird named Pete. When Bill's cousin gets nabbed by a poacher the two head to Louisiana to rescue her. The story is cute and very unsophisticated. I can see some 3rd graders being a little bored with the story line but, I think it

would appeal to many preschoolers and kindergarteners. The illustrations are very colorful with a lot of things to describe and discuss.
