family. One day Mother and Father squirrel were teaching the little squirrels how to build their nest, but none of them were interested except Clarence. Clarence listened to every word that Father squirrel said. Clarence was soon excited about building his own nest. He began to drag large limbs/sticks into an upright pile and his family was soon amazed that he was building something different from their nests. Other animals began to gather to watch Clarence build his house, and noted that he did not stop working for anything. After a while, Clarence was sculpting out his house and Josie the squirrel wanted to help him. While Josie was searching for branches, she found a group of beavers building a hut in the middle of a river. So Josie rushed back to her family and told Clarence that she found his family down at the river. Since Clarence has been reunited to his real animal, they have all become a larger family and every once in a while they will visit each other and have a reunited feast.

Personal Beliefs: This book was used for information about beavers and how others can notice the differences. This book has about 8 facts about beavers in the back of the book.

Extension: This could be used on information on beavers and how they differentiate themselves from squirrels. This could be used for a student who has been temporarily separated from their family. This book can be used for students to show them that no matter what or who they are they can befriend others that are different from them.
