that's out of control and then receives threats, Megan and Ash are both assigned the difficult job of keeping her safe at a secluded ranch in West Texas. When the threats continue it's evident that more is involved than meets the eye. Megan and Ash try to fit the pieces together of a very complicated and dangerous puzzle. Will they figure it out in time?

DiAnn Mill's tag line is "expect an adventure". That's a great description for Attracted to Fire. The story was a definite page-turner as you gather information along with the lead couple. I enjoyed getting to know Ash & Megan. Their relationship seemed very natural. I enjoyed how Megan handled Lindsey and encouraged her to trust in the One who cares most for her. Getting a glimpse into the life of a secret agent was very interesting as it's something I've not really thought about. Would you be willing to take a bullet for someone? I liked how the author keeps the story at a steady pace until right near the end. I couldn't turn pages fast enough. The story felt true to life with all it's ups and downs. Along with some very tense moments there is also some great humor. I really like that. If you like a good romantic suspense then you won't want to miss Attracted to Fire. A thank you goes the publisher for providing this complimentary copy for my review through Netgalley.

This book goes in my "keeper" pile of books! It kept my heart pounding and my mind trying to figure it all out till almost the very end. It is a story of Secret Service Agents who are trying to keep a rebellious and mixed up daughter of the Vice President safe, when they are not sure who the real

enemy is. Meghan and Ash are two of the Special Agents and they are united in their commitment to protect Lindsay Hall, even though at times you don't think she is worth the effort. This story I believe shows the "dedicated, highly-trained, diverse, partner-oriented workforce" that we have in our United States Secret Service.

I like it when I can't figure out the ending until the very end. It keeps me guessing who the "bad guys" really are. I also liked the way Special Agents Meghan and Ash started out "dueling" with one another with their words and how their relationship gradually changed from respect, to much more! Then you have the whole breach of security, the deadly conspiracy and the escalating threats on Lindsay's life. This book had it all and kept me reading into the wee hours of the night to finish and find out how it ended. DiAnn Mills is a "bestselling author" and this book is one of the reasons why.

This was a great romantic suspense story and I want to thank Tyndale House Publishers for providing me this complimentary copy for review.

Only the best in the Secret Service apparently make it to the Presidential detail team, and that is what Meghan Connor dreams about. She was fortunate to be on the Vice-President's detail once and even thwarted an assassination attempt. Now she has been asked by the Vice President to join the team

guarding his daughter. Not necessarily a problem but the leader of the daughter's team, Ash Zinders, hates female agents. Sparks fly, literally and figuratively, when Ash and Meghan must join forces in Attracted to Fire by DiAnn Mills.

Meghan is young, beautiful and an adept agent. She has proven herself when on the Vice President's detail team and stopping an assassination attempt. Her dream to join the Presidential detail seems to be just out of her grasp until she is dangled a carrot. If she joins the team guarding the Vice President's daughter, she'll be considered for the opening on the Presidential team. Meghan knows that this is going to be extremely difficult, not just because the daughter, Lindsey, is an addict (drugs and alcohol) but also because her life has been threatened. After Lindsey attempts suicide, it is decided that she needs to be taken far away from the public spotlight and given the chance to detoxify and quit her addictive lifestyle once and for all.

Meghan and Ash clash in their initial attempts to work together but eventually they both come to respect one another as agents. Their burgeoning friendship is put to the test when Lindsey arrives and is adamantly opposed to rehabilitation. To make matters worse, after the resignation of the current President due to health reasons, Lindsey's father is now forced to step-up and become President. No one is to know where Lindsey is while she rehabilitates but the threats continue against her and her family. But after one agent is murdered on the remote Texas ranch where Lindsey is sequestered, more questions than answers are raised. Is it possible there is a conspiracy against Lindsey's father? Can Ash and Meghan uncover the truth before more lives are lost and the country is imperiled?

Although Meghan and Ash are the primary characters in Attracted to Fire, I found Lindsey's story to be more compelling. Lindsey is not only a rebellious young woman that has taken the wrong path, but she isn't sure how to set herself free. She's afraid to trust anyone because her trust has been abused so many times in the past, especially by some that have close ties to her family. Meghan, Ash and Lindsey all overcome their preconceived notions and grow to like and respect each other. Meghan's faith isn't "in your face" but makes a nice adjunct to the overall story. Attracted to Fire is a well-written romantic suspense read.

I have to say that when I began this book, I was pretty sure I wasn't going to like it. I like mysteries and spy novels to a degree, but this just didn't seem like my kind of book. I was not taken with the main agent--Ash. I guess Meghan was okay, but the story did not interest me.

75, something changed for me. I'm not sure why, but I suddenly cared about the characters. The relationship between Ash and Meghan was very well done. And I actually cared about what happened to Lindsay and the president. And although I figured out some parts of the story, I didn't know everything that would happen. I hated to put the story down!

I appreciated the way that the gospel message was so expertly woven into this story. I get tired of Christian books that force the gospel message. I generally mark those books down. The gospel message was presented in such a real way. And although the ending may not have been realistic, I was glad it ended as it did!

If you like spy novels with a plot that has lots of twists and turns, this book is for you. Even for those who do not appreciate the gospel message, this is a book for you. The gospel message is not presented in an offensive way at all. The characterization and action are well-developed and enjoyable to say the least. I also appreciate the short chapters. Books with short chapters keep the action flowing so well. I look forward to reading more books by this author!

opportunity to rise in rank. Unfortunately, Ash Zinders is assigned as the Special Agent in Charge. Will they sort through the conspiracy before it's too late? Will what started as a working relationship blossom into something more? Find out for yourself in Diann Mills' Attracted to Fire.

When the opportunity arose for me to review this book, I jumped on it. I've read historical romances by author Diann Mills and looked forward to reading a contemporary suspense by her. She did not disappoint in Attracted to Fire. The suspense and action of the story kept things moving and I enjoyed the relationship growth between Meghan and Ash. The combination of romance and suspense was perfect. I'll definitely be reading Attracted to Fire again in the future.

Meghan and Ash quickly learn that they are unsure of who they can trust, will they figure it out before someone is hurt?

Diann Mills has created a cast of characters that pull you into their story. This book is full of action, mystery and a love story and will keep you glued to the pages until the very end. I really enjoyed this book, sometimes I found it to be a little predictable with who was behind everything, as well as the ending not being as strong as I would have hoped for, the book also left you wishing for more back story on some of the characters, throughout the book you are given glimpses but not enough to really understand some of the characters motives. I still enjoyed the story and think it is worth checking out next time you are in search of a good book.
